Severely Burned Pitbull Defied The Odds And Now He Loves Life

Justice the Pit Bull is much more than meets the eye, like most dogs. Although he doesn't look like your usual dog, he is nevertheless beautiful in his own right. He simply had a challenging start to life, which was entirely out of his control. Despite being mistreated and abandoned, Justice made it to the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter. At the shelter, he at last experienced what it was like to be cherished and treated with respect, like every dog should. Justice is currently beating the odds and enjoying life. He can only pray that those who committed his horrible assault will be made to pay.

Against All Odds

In 2018, Indiana police discovered Justice walking the streets. He was probably two years old and had serious chemical burns all over him that seemed to have been intentional. He only managed to live alone for a little period of time by some miracle.

Justice received the needed medical attention right away from the group. He initially needed to be bandaged. Then, his skin started to mend and some of his fur started to grow back slowly but steadily. Although he'll never again have the same appearance as before the catastrophe, it's okay. He is adored by the shelter workers for who he is, and it turns out that everyone else agrees.

He was first very depressed, according to veterinarian Jessica Lynch. He has a lot more personality now, he's obviously gone a long way. He has developed into a really joyful, spirited young guy.

After about a year of medical attention and training, Justice was ready to be placed, and many fans, including those from other states and countries, had already lined up to adopt him. However, the shelter would only accept applications from people who lived within a 100-mile radius because the vets wanted to be close by in case Justice needed any further treatments in the future.

The New Life of Justice

Justice amassed quite a following during his time at the shelter, so his parents continue to post updates about him on the shelter's social media. They've made it clear that despite his ordeal, the sweet pup is now enjoying life. Justice was adopted quickly, as expected, and he quickly adapted to his new home.

Due to his troubled past, Justice was challenging to teach because he was frequently rebellious and put back when told what to do. However, an exceptional dog trainer named Lexi worked with him for over a year to train him and claimed that Justice has just one more training session with her.

Although it may seem like a minor action, rolling over is a sign of vulnerability in most dogs. Having his belly rubbed demonstrates that Justice truly trusts his humans because he knows that he will never be hurt again while he is with them. Justice is much more affectionate than he used to be, and he even asks his loving parents for belly rubs.

Truth for Truth

The prize for this person's conviction started at $5,000 and has now escalated to $20,000. The shelter has been working nonstop to find out who was guilty for Justice's mistreatment.

There isn't enough evidence to convict anyone for this heinous crime, but many anonymous tips have helped bring the shelter closer. They identified a person who once had Justice, and Justice's name at the time was "Roscoe." The person claimed to have given Justice away before the incident, but it's unclear whether they're telling the truth.

If you have any information on Justice's predicament, please contact the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter. The cruel person who mistreated him needs to be punished for their acts as soon as possible.
