German Shepherd Lost at Sea for 5 Weeks Found Alive.

Luna, a German Shepherd and Husky mix, has managed to survive against all odds. She had been lost at sea for five weeks before being discovered by staff members at St. Clemente Island's Naval Auxiliary Landing Field. Her owner, Nick Haworth, had been searching for her after she fell off a fishing boat off the coast of San Diego, California.

Nick searched tirelessly for several days with the help of a navy crew, but unfortunately, they were unable to locate Luna. They eventually concluded that she had not survived. But Luna was a fighter and she managed to swim to the shore, where she stayed alive for five weeks by consuming dead fish and rodents.

Sandy DeMunnik, a Navy public affairs officer, reported that the staff members at the landing field found Luna sitting by the side of the road and wagging her tail. Luna was slightly malnourished, but she had not suffered any injuries and was in good health.

Luna's reunion with Nick was delayed because he was traveling at the time. However, Luna was able to stay with Nick's best friend in Colorado until he returned. Luna's incredible story of survival has touched the hearts of many, and her miraculous rescue serves as a reminder of the resilience and determination of animals.

It's truly heartwarming to see that Luna was able to overcome the odds and be reunited with her loved ones. This story is a testament to the power of hope and the unbreakable bond between humans and their furry friends. Let's continue to share stories like Luna's to inspire and uplift others.
